HOOFERS HAUNTED HALLOWEEN
UW Hoofers, together with several Wisconsin Union Directorate committees, is sponsoring its second annual “Hoofers Haunted Halloween” (H3) week of activities from Friday, October 23 through Thursday, October 29.
“Our team is expanding on the giant success of last year with a bigger and more involved crew to plan and manage the events,” said Hoofers Marketing Coordinator Drew Kozlak. “Last year, the Haunted House ran over an hour past its cut-off because of the astounding number of participants waiting in line. Adding to the excitement, the collaboration between Hoofers, Student Performance, and Student Theater for this year’s ‘Secret Government Quarantine Lab’ is expected to outperform last year.”
Other events for those looking to be spooked or for some extra fun the week before Halloween and Freakfest include “Haunted Campus Ghost Tours,” a visit to Schuster’s Corn Maze, a free showing of Nightmare on Elm Street and the Buccaneers Ball in Great Hall and more. The Buccaneers Ball features a cash bar and DJ; and as a costume event, it’s the perfect opportunity to warm up for Freakfest without being in the freezing cold.
